Another Big Deal On the job injuries

There are Same out there faking it I'm sure. This blog is not about that at all. All states have different WC Laws but all of them have the same underlying message. If you get hurt on the job your job should be secure and regardless who's fault it was unless you tried to comit surcide there should be NO financial disadvantage for you. So your weekly compensation is about what you normally would take home. and they say it is tax free. Fair enough. Or is it?
imagine this. You are injured the treatment and recuperation takes years. You get your pay every week. 4 years later the tell you that's it you will never be working again
they give you a settlement which you use to mostly pay of bills which they didn't paid because believe it or not work on your house you could normally go yourself you have to get them done by someone else now. The job you got injured on was the best you ever had, great money. I would be a Boost to your SSA account even over the last 4 years but then you find out that while you were on WC no contributions were made at all
how is that of Not being disadvantaged?

There is something else which is in Most WC statues a little phrase which most of us don''t even understand. "Random Act of Violence."
basically what this means to all you Criminals out there. If you rob a convenience store and beat up the clerk please tell the police you have been staking out the place. Because if you don't the poor clerk will have to pay his own hospital bills he is NOT covered by workers Comp against Random acts of violence. So just walking in the place because it was handy and shooting him in the knee will not do. by you casing out the joint it isn't "Random" anymore.

What about Social Security?

Is Social security in peril? apparently everybody thinks so, however if the goverment would leave it alone or even pay some sort of interest when it borrow from the SSA we would be just fine. But I do have a sure fire way to take care of it. How about we take all of our elected officials and lets say put their retirement and healthcare under Medicare and not some fancy system which is only available to them. All shortcoming would be taken care of real fast I am sure of that. hmm while we are at it. is there any jobs out there were you can go and work for 4 or 6 years and be fully Vested in the retirement system? if you find one let me know please.

ever wondered what happen to political Math?

When Oil was at $30 dollars a Barrel gas was at about $1.15 a gallon. Now it is at about 3.60 in places. a 300% increase and big oil is making all that money, right? hmmm...... crude oil is now 120 a barrel thats a 400% increase. Gasoline should be like $4.75 a gallon to break even if we accept that equation. I agree its expensive don't get me wrong. But I don't want you bitching about the price of gas while you go and spend $1.25 for a 20 oz bottle of water which you can get free at home!!!!
It is totally wrong for Politician to use scare tacktics and talk about gas prices. a tax relief wouldn't really help much. What we should be asking is "how much of the 120 a barrel actually goes to whoever pumps it out of the ground". This situation (high crude cost) is Man made, someone is making money on our backs.interesting part is that the cost of gasoline has not increased that much in europe pennies compared to dollars over here. I thing we should remove Crude oil from the open market and have the oil companies drill, transport refine and pay a royalty to whoever owns it. Take the middleman out of it. If that doesn't work, make the deposits like with any other comodity 50% instead of 5
